Simple gojju

Gojju..

This is very easy to prepare

Ingredients

Tamarind.......one lemon size
Methi/ fenugreek seeds.......1/2 half tea spoon
Udad dal/black dal................< 1 tea spoon
Thil /sesame seeds...................2 tea spoon
Red chillies byadagi...................4/5 numbers
Jaggery..,..according to taste......2tea spoon (optional)
Salt...............................................according to taste
Turmeric,........,.............................1/4 quarter tea spoon
Coconut fresh or dried ..Grated.....2 tea spoon
Vegetables that can be used...any one
Onion 2 medium size/ladies finger 5/6/brinjal 4/red  pumkin 1/4 kg/capsicum 2/bitter gourd 3/spring onion leaves 1 bunch/ orange peels/lemon peels

Method:

  • Wash and soak tamarind
  • Roast fenu greek seeds, udad dal, semolina seperately , red chillies each separately and grind it together.
  • Now add coconut little water and grind
  • Cut the preferred vegetable into small pieces
  • Heat oil put mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves, then vegetables, when the vegetables are cooked add turmeric then tamarind pulp, salt, jagerry when it is boiling put ground masala and boil it for 5 minutes.
